Key figures
The GABI unit (Animal Genetics and Integrative Biology unit) has approximately 200 scientists, research professors, engineers, technicians and students from INRA and AgroParisTech (Paris Institute of Technology for Life Food and Environmental Sciences) as well as from the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) and several other professional and technical institutes, in particular the Institut de l'Elevage (French Breeding Institute), the Haras Nationaux (French Horse and Riding Institute), UNCEIA (French National Union of Cooperatives for Animal Insemination) and IFIP (French Pork and Pig Institute).
- 146 permanent agents including 126 agents from INRA, five from AgroParisTech, four from CEA and 11 from other institutes (Institut de l’Élevage, UNCEIA...),
- 52 scientists and research professors,
- 49 engineers and engineer assistants,
- 43 technicians and assistant technicians.
- approximately 50 non-permanent agents: 20 doctoral students, five post-doctoral researchers, 15 fixed-term contracts and 10 trainees.
