Histology laboratory

Treating tissue samples after cold or chemical fixation
The histology laboratory, which is part of the GIS (Genetics, Immunity, Health) team of the GABI unit, has all the equipment necessary to treat tissue samples after cold fixation (nitrogen alone or iso pentane + nitrogen) or fixation with chemical agents (formol, RCL2).
 
The preparations can then be used for diagnostics, cell validation or in situ molecular studies.
 
The laboratory can treat samples in an RNAse-free environment for extraction of RNA from tissues after macrodissection or from specific cell types obained by laser microdissection.

OUR SERVICES


For those not working in the research team, the laboratory provides either a complete service (sample fixation and preparation of tissue sections on glass slides) or its staff can train users for the preparation and sectioning of samples. The laboratory is open to all types of partnerships or technical expertise.
 

USERS


The laboratory is currently being used by GABI research teams "Genetics, Immunity, Health" and " Equine Integrative Biology and Genetics" teams, and sometimes by other teams from the Jouy-en-Josas research center or from outside of INRA (LGRK-CEA Evry, SHFJ- CEA Orsay).
