Essential resources for research are available in GABI: documentary and methodological resources, equipments and genetic collections
- The CRB GADIE is a platform for developing and making available tools and methods in genomics. This platform is associated with the joint unit GABI. It provides methods and high-throughput tools for both structural and functional genomics. The platform has been ISO9001 certified since 2005. Since 2008, it is one of INRA's strategic platforms and is recognised by IBISA (2009).
- The ICE platform has a sound experience in "Integrative Microgenomics", combining both Laser Microdissection (LCM) and Expression Genomics (transcriptomics and proteomics). To implement these techniques, the ICE platform has a recognised expertise in this innovating field, offering access to cutting edge technology.
- The histology laboratory provides RNAse-free treatment of samples for RNA extraction from tissues after macrodissection or from cellular material after laser microdissection.
- Experimental farms: the main mission of these experimental farms is to carry out experiments, often of multidisciplinary nature, to analyse the genetic determinism of traits.
- Lines and phenotypes: the most important and frequently used methods for the analysis of genetic determinism of traits are selection experiments, genotype comparisons, detection or fine-mapping of major genes or QTL and the exploration of genotype-environment interactions.
